مجتمع مدني متخصص في الغذاء ، مرخص من وزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية (ترخيص رقم 600) كأول بنك طعام في المملكة ومنطقة الخليج. تأسس "إطعام" (بنك الطعام السعودي) في عام 2011 في مدينة الدمام تحت اسم الجمعية الخيرية للغذاء في المنطقة الشرقية بهدف إنقاذ النعمة من الهدر. في منتصف عام 2021 صدرت موافقة وزارية لتطوير نشاط الجمعية وأهدافها ، وتغيير اسمها لتصبح جمعية بنك الطعام السعودي (إيتام). يقع المقر الرئيسي في مدينة الدمام بالمنطقة الشرقية ، وله فروع في الرياض وجدة والأحساء والجبيل الصناعية ، ووحدات توزيع متنقلة في محافظة بقيق ، ومركز رأس الخير بالمنطقة الشرقية. يهدف نموذج عمل "اطعم" إلى بناء تحالفات إستراتيجية فعالة للاستفادة من فائض الموارد الغذائية وتوزيعها على المستفيدين ، بالإضافة إلى تقديم حزم متنوعة من المبادرات المجتمعية المتخصصة في مجال الدعم الغذائي ، وتوفير الأمن الغذائي. والغذاء المستدام للأشخاص ذوي الظروف الاجتماعية الخاصة وذوي الدخل المحدود.
