Is there any documentation on how to setup customer portal so that b2b customers can login and place orders online. Is this something available in default setup or require expert customization?.

It might just work by activating the customer portal in the Settings > General Settings and adding the customer as follower somewhere (e.g. in a first sale order)

I'm interested in the same thing for v6.1. Is there a way to setup a customer portal in 6.1? There is a link in the 6.1 doc that makes it sound like there is and it lists a module named "ecommerce". However I can't find this module that works with 6.1 and is certified. If there is no portal, does that mean that each customer that wants to login, place an order and see their history has to have a license?
