We are attempting to use Royal Mail address now API in the backend of odoo. This requires changing the value of the field via javascript. However, these values disappear once the form is saved.
But if we were to go into the field once it is filled in and you backspace then read the character it will save the value.
Any solutions for this?

So the api enters the values itself. For the api there is a setup wizard in which you match there fields to yours and they will automatically enter values
