I have solved it changing the pricelist which have to be enabled form user technical settings by activating developer mode in odoo 9 & 10. I might post the detail step by step guide here later on.

• First, enable technical settings by enabling developer mode (Click "About" under your user name when logged)

• Go to Settings > Access rights

• Check on "Manage Pricelist Items" , "Sales Pricelists"

• Under Extra rights check "Multi Currencies"

• Click save.

• Then go to Sales > Configuration > PriceLists > PriceLists

• Click and Edit your Pricelist by default pricelist is = "Public Pricelist"

• Change the Currency option to your prefered currency and reload your POS interface.

I have solved this issue. The following is the best way to do it.

• Go to sales Module settings

• Search for price list there

• Click on the price list and change the currency of price list to the desired currency.

For doing all above please make sure that you have enabled multi currency in the company master data and also make sure that the desired currency is an active one.

I too am not able to change the currency shown in POS and in POS receipts. Any help appreciated.

In POS currency is set as per configuration done for the POS. So you have to set a proper Pricelist into the POS >>Configuration >> point of sale >> set "Pricelist" with currency BDT.

I am having the same challenge. Any support from the community?
