The requested operation ("read" on "Account" (account.account)) was rejected because of the following rules: - Account multi-company Note: this might be a multi-company issue. (Records: 132000 Tax Receivable (id=8), User: Administrator (id=2))

I keep getting this error whenever I click on general settings in the second company I just created. I think it has to do with access rights. I have checked the access rights and rules of "account multi company" the read right access is marked.

Please what could be wrong? Been stuck with this for hours

I faced same error while importing Charts of Accounts in my newly created company and found that I am importing charts of accounts with same ids which exist in my other company in the same data base.Changing COA ids wroked and successfully impported COAs.

Lesson Learned is  "We cant have same COAs ids for 2 different companies in same database.

Thanks Paresh. I later solved the issue. One of my custom modules was the cause.

You will get this error if there is a mismatch between the current company selected by the user on the top right and the company to which the record belongs.

Make sure you are updating the settings for the same company that is selected on the top right.
