how to get current record for report inside function

how to get current record inside function for the report
I have a invoice.py and invoice.rml file inside account --> report-->files here
i have a function in invoice.py
def get_name(self,):-->
print number,date_invoice,"print the invoice number and date_invoice"
what are the argument i need to pass and i need to get current record inside function how to get it

invoice = self.pool.get('account.invoice').browse(self.cr, self.uid, self.ids)
