I've installed Odoo 9 on Ubuntu. After a couple of days of learning it, I find I no longer have "Settings" in the top menu bar.
1. What did I do to lose it?
2. How do I recover "Settings"

Probably you set wrong access rights to user, and if you changed access rights for admin then you have to reset access rights from database by query OR updating base but it will delete all your data so be careful.
Admin bypass access right, so if you dont have setting menu in admin, check group for the menu item
