Hi there!

I am new to odoo 17 and trying to explore the options I have to connect odoo to the DHL Paket  transport company. (beware: DHL Express is _not_ the same as DHL Paket, yes its a pitty how the company is using the term DHL for everything and then tells us, that it is all not the same.)

  • So far I have found that there is an app that seems to do the job, but it is not available on odoo online.
  • Just to check options I tried installing the DHL-connector (which is menat for DHL Express), however I was not able to configure it in the respective menus according to odoo online documentation (the link I am not allowed to post :-( )
  • I started looking into API programming in odoo and am wondering wheter or not it is possible to call the DHL Paket API from within odoo online. Maybe from process builder?

Has anyone a solution for connecting to DHL Paket?

"DHL Paket" is not a question. A question is a substantial phrase that ends with "?"

We get close to 1,000 posts a month and not everyone will open a post to find out what your question is.

I have edited your post to make the title a question.

In the future, please consider (1) using a Question that makes it clear what you ask without requiring people to open your post and (2) adding Tags. This will often increase the chances people will respond and also make everything clearer for others who may come along later searching for the same thing.

Failing that, you can paste your future posts into an AI Chatbot and ask it to "please generate a question of no more than 16 words that summarizes what I am asking" and use that as your question.

Integrating DHL Paket with Odoo requires a custom approach as it's not natively supported like DHL Express.



  Review the DHL Paket API documentation to understand the endpoints and authentication.

  Develop a custom module in Odoo that can interact with the DHL Paket API using Odoo's external API capabilities.

  Test the integration thoroughly in a development environment before deploying it to production.

Hi there!

thanks for the info! Yes the odoo documentation link is exactly what I found and it does not offer me the checkbox in inventory->configuration->settings after installing the DHL-connector. I have no clue what might be missing there. Any ideas here? Is this connector also usefull for DHL Paket? (if not, I can skip researching on this item)

The DHL documentation to me implies that I install something on the server, which - as far as I understand by now - is not possible if I use odoo online. Is that correct?
