Hello

According to documentation (https://www.odoo.com/documentation/16.0/applications/finance/accounting/receivables/customer_invoices/electronic_invoicing.html), electronic invoicing / EDI settings are located under the configuration of Journals. Settings for EDI are not there even though account_edi_ubl_cii is installed. How can I enable the documented electronic invoicing on Odoo 16?

Electronic data interchange came visible after changing my main company from Finland to Belgium. According to the description of the module account_edi_ubl_cii, UBL Bis 3 should be available for Finland as it is listed here https://docs.peppol.eu/poacc/billing/3.0/codelist/eas/ ("0037 LY-tunnus")

Thus, I think this is a bug in Odoo.

hi,
if you feel this as issue, please report it via odoo support page or in github so that it will get fixed in odoo core.

Hi Niyas!
Yes, sure, after I found out this is most probably an unexpected behavior, I reported it to Odoo support.

Did this end up getting fixed for you? We ended up doing a bunch of EDI setup ourselves for Odoo. Some fun was with mapping shipping methods - trading partners seem to use a combination of fields to define it. We ended up doing settings for delivery methods to allow mapping on multiple EDI fields, the first screenshots here shows the mapping config https://steersman.works/a/71-odoo-edi-integration-and-configuration-by-steersman   Do you deal with it on EDI VAN side, or map in Odoo or something else? Though EDI is supposed to be a general standard, but it looks like each trading partner uses it slightly differently, maybe that just in USA though and better in EU... lots of fun :)
