Hi,

I have came across with some weird problem. The Company i am currently working with is an textile export house. Around 75% of the transactions (Sales/Purchase) are based on USD, so in ideal scenario the base/functional currency of the company should be USD. But due to some limitation of regulatory framework of the country the statutory and audited financials record should be in local currency. The Finance team wants the historical record of all transaction (i.e. Inventory valuation, consumptions, depreciation, WDV etc.) in both, local and foreign, currencies.

I think the requirement is very unique but i believe it is possible with customization.

I just need to know from community experts that how can we manage this requirement in Odoo 16.

Thanks

You can be sure that the requirement of having reports in more than one currency is not unique!

Ricardo Gross: Yes this requirement is unique because i need all reports based on historical cost i.e. the basic accounting principal. The reports available only translate the financial numbers at one single exchange rate which is normally the exchange rate prevailing at the reporting date.

We developed a custom module to cove this requirement which will allow you to have 2 base currencies and reports based on these 2 base currencies
