i do not have a legacy system so I am entering my opening balances by hand in the template.
I does not have a debit and credit columns, so I presume either debit balances or Credit balance are entered as negativives, but i do not know which
any help out there?
In Odoo's Chart of Accounts import template, you represent debit balances as positive numbers and credit balances as negative numbers.
1. Open the Chart of Accounts import template.
2. Enter your opening balances in the 'Balance' column.
3. Use positive values for debit balances and negative values for credit balances.
4. Ensure the account codes match your chart of accounts.
5. Import the template into Odoo.

Download COA import template and adjust opening balance as per screenshot, once COA import, need to post journal entry as per attached video.
