Can you Reserve quantity without reserving serial numbers

Question

I need to reserve the quantity of a serial product without reserving the serial number so I can pick any serial number to deliver at the time of picking. Is there any way to do this?

In V15, you could set the Reservation Method to 'Manual' maybe that helps
Inventory > Configuration > Operations Type
Edit the operation (delivery order or pick operation) to set Reservation Method 'Manually'

Hi,
We are also looking for such feature. We tested OCA module  https://github.com/OCA/stock-logistics-warehouse/tree/13.0/stock_quant_manual_assign [1]  but that does not help on serial numbers.
I will post in this thread when we find a solution / workaround.
