Block a quant in stock for quality issue

We use Lot numbers for stock. In case we have a quality issue on a lot number, we need to block it in stock, so that it is not available for reservation.

I have searched the web, documentation and tutorials for this, but not found anything. Is this not available in Odoo?

You move quant to another location (for example to transit location).

That is not a solution that should be used. Locations got only one purpose :Tell you the physical place where you fin your stuff. Not the status. Block for quality issue, is like a reservation.

Does quality control take place outside the warehouse, or does anyone else become responsible for this product? If so, then another location is the correct and good choice.

This is not about quality control. A quality issue can happen anytime.

And you need to separate the status and the physical location. In some cases it is correct to move the quant physically (to a restricted area) , in other cases, let it stay where it is.

If you do not separate these function, you have the risk of making a mess of your warehouse operation.

This is a basic inventory function that is missing in Odoo.

Hi Lars, this feature is not available in Odoo. You would need to customize the code to achieve it.
