L'Ombudsman fir Kanner a Jugendlecher (OKaJu) est une institution indépendante créée par la loi du 1er avril 2020. Sa mission est de promouvoir, protéger et défendre les droits de l’enfant, tels qu’ils sont définis par la Convention internationale relative aux droits de l’enfant (CIDE). La CIDE s'applique à tous les enfants et jeunes jusqu’à 18 ans.
