For a touchscreen POS system with a 2 line led display,receipt printer, kitchen printer and cashdrawer, what modules are needed in order to get the harware to work properly with the system?

For your setup you would need the modules 'Point of Sales' and 'ECS/POS Hardware Driver'.
These two should do the job if you install & configure everything well. Given that you connect your printer directly to your computer where Odoo is installed on. If you would also need a weighing scale you should also install the module ''Weighing Scale Hardware Driver' and if you want to enable discounts you should also install the module 'Point of Sale Discounts'.
