Therefore, the decision was made to transition to a brand-new all-in-one management system, and Odoo ticked all the boxes

With a clear focus on quality and sustainability, the company creates unique properties tailored to the customer’s request and the environment

Always looking to go the extra mile, search for the best solutions, and question things to constantly improve, POC Real Estate needed software that would fit this ambition

Until 2024, the team was juggling several systems. For accounting and invoicing, the accounting software Multivers and the invoice recognition tool Scansys were connected to each other. For reporting and tracking data, an overload of Excel files was used. This caused data fragmentation, with information often entered twice and reports taking ages to be produced.

POC Real Estate wil flexibel en klantgericht blijven, wat kan zorgen voor een erg complexe aanpak. Elk project heeft immers zijn eigen timing, juridische structuur en betrokken partners. Het bedrijf had dus dringend nood aan een krachtig managementplatform dat meer centralisatie en structuur kon bieden. Het team deed daarom een beroep op Sofatech, expert in IT-oplossingen, om de beschikbare opties te onderzoeken met de volgende criteria in gedachten:

Eén platform om alle data te centraliseren;

Alle data slechts één keer correct invoeren en overal voor alle doeleinden kunnen gebruiken op het platform; 

 Sterke rapporteringsmogelijkheden;

Maximale benutting van de standaard functionaliteiten zonder extra ontwikkelingen. 

Odoo voldeed aan deze voorwaarden, dus daarom introduceerde Sofatech dit geïntegreerde systeem bij POC Real Estate.

Implementing Odoo, a digital leap for POC Real Estate

POC Real Estate chose to implement Odoo, with the valuable help of Sofatech. The implementation of the different applications of the system was spread over 2024 and 2025. First, the Accounting module has been launched, quickly followed by Project, Sales, CRM and Purchase.

The company makes the most of Odoo’s applications, including: 

  • CRM: The Customer Relationship Management system is used both for sales and following up on acquisition files.

  • Sales and Invoicing: Sales and Invoicing now cover the entire flow, from quotation to order, followed by automated and timely invoicing.

  • Purchase: The Purchase app is used to register contacts with subcontractors, follow up and approve progress reports, and automatically process purchase invoices.

  • And much more, including key reports generated instantly!

Besides the standard modules, the company decided to develop a customized POC Real Estate app. It is used in combination with the Project module to closely monitor every stage of the real estate development process, from acquisition and sales to delivery. 

The implementation is not over yet, as POC Real Estate intends to start using the marketing modules, for instance.

Powering efficiency with Odoo’s all-in-one management system

One of the biggest achievements POC Real Estate wants to highlight is how every team member now cooperates using the same management tool ever since Odoo was implemented. It means much greater cooperation between team members, quicker and easier access to data, and more streamlined processes. Today, all operations are on a single platform, from purchasing to sales and accounting, which is a huge step forward. 

Even though change management was a challenge, as people tend to be attached to the current way of working, the transition to a brand new system was definitely worth it. Indeed, it brought way more control and efficiency.
