what is the difference between a draft invoice and the proforma? if I choose to use the draft invoice as proforma i can't go back, any ideas??

Proforma invoices have a special legal status in accounting (at least in my country). Draft invoices can be viewed as mock-up documents that have no influence yet. They can be edited, removed and replaced whenever you like. Note that draft invoices have no influence on your chart of accounts yet, nor do they generate an invoice number.
