Make sure that the same modules that were installed on Ubuntu are installed on Windows. Note that if you were using the nightly debs on Ubuntu you would have had all the core modules/apps available locally. That is not the case if you used the Windows installer. When you install an app, it downloads and installs it.
Thank tyou Lorenzo. I've checked, and there were indeed differences. Strangely, some of the modules were marked for removal, and when I displayed the information about these modules the system offered me the option to 'cancel the uninstall'... which I did. Both instances now have exactly the same modules installed, but I still get the error.
