Our company provides support services to our clients with an emphasis on accounting. We help track various projects for them, using the Project module and record progress either in terms of time sheet data or milestones. For our part, we include a certain number of hours each month under a monthly subscription rate, after which there is an additional hourly charge applied.
If we try to include 'our' time under each task then it presents us as one of the client's employees and comingles our working hours with theirs. We could create a separate project just to keep track of our time but, then, it would be harder to describe what project task we were spending time on without duplicating each task. We would like to be able to generate monthly bills either directly from our timesheet data or else by generating a report from which we could transcribe the data.
Conceptually, does anyone have an idea of how we should approach this?
