Every time I open up the Journal Entries in the Accounting app, there's a search filter "Miscellaneous". I would like to have control over what's the default filter and in this case I would have no default filter. I found some previous forum threads where folks suggested custom code solutions. Is there a way to achieve this without coding? Or at least, is there a safe and simple way of doing the code modifications? I have no experience with custom code in Odoo.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Comptabilité
- Inventaire
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Thanks for this reply, but I just realized that when in developer mode, there is an option in the Accounting menu to see Journal Items and not only Journal Entries. The lack of search filter for "miscellaneous" items in the Journal Items list is what I was after. I think I'll just use Odoo in developer mode all the time now. I'm not sure why these things are hidden when not in developer mode.
Hi Cedric,
Go to the accounting module, open the journal entries, turn on the debug mode, choose the edit action menu from the debug button and remove the 'search_default_misc_filter':1 from context value.Points to note that this changes will available only in your current database.
