I installed odoo 16 on ubuntu 22.04. Better choice ?

If you're using Ubuntu 20.04 as your base system, the recommended Odoo version to use depends on your needs:

Recommended version: Odoo 15

• Stable and mature, with long-term support from the community.
• Fully compatible with Ubuntu 20.04.
• Good balance between features and performance.
• Widely adopted, with many available modules.

Other options:

• Odoo 14: Also stable and compatible, but older and closer to end of community support.
• Odoo 16: Works well on Ubuntu 20.04 too, offers performance improvements and updated UI—but fewer third-party modules may be available compared to v15.
• Odoo 17: Newest version (as of 2025), works on Ubuntu 20.04 but better suited for Ubuntu 22.04+ due to dependency updates. Also, some custom modules may not yet be compatible.
