I am using selfhosted Odoo community V16. 

I added custom fields for contacts using developer tools, which I successfully added to the contacts UI. 

Now I am trying to make the same information available in opportunities that I create for the contacts, so that my sales team can use that information for reference.  How to do that? Can anyone help?

Hi,


You can show custom contact fields in CRM by using related fields.

In the crm.lead model, create a new field.

Use the same field type as the one you added in Contacts.

Set the field as:


related='partner_id.your_custom_field_name'


Then, add this field to the CRM form view using xpath.

This way, your sales team will see contact info directly in Opportunities.
