How to track purchases in bags where items are consumed in smaller quantities

Question

I work with small items that are purchased in bags of varying amounts (200 - 750 units per bag). I use these to construct my products, however, I may use 50 of one product, 200 of another, and 20 of yet another. I'd like to be able to track the purchases as bags, but calculate inventory and cost based on units in the bags (i.e. 2 bags of 500 at 10.99 each will track 1,000 products at $0.02198 per unit). Thank you for the quick answer, but it seems like packages won't do what I'm looking for. It appears they're suited for aggregating items, not for splitting items into individual units. I'm looking for a way to handle it as a package for the purchase, but as individual units for manufacturing.
It looks like I'll just need to handle the purchase by entering the units, and calculating the price per unit, which will allow me to track material costs for the items I'm producing.

To get the details about the product packaging you can go through this Odoo documentation  ,  How to use packages? [1]  .
For precession, you can look at Settings -> Technical -> Database Structure -> Decimal Accuracy.
