I'm trying to open a record through JavaScript. I am able to get it through "do_action". Everything is fine, its opening in tree view but when I'm clicking a particular record its opening in form view in edit mode but i need to make it readonly. Can anyone help me with what i should write in do_action to make the form readonly.

I think for this you need to pass some context form do_action and override the fields_view_get method
with this method you can modify the attribute of <form> to set edit="false"
