How to assign Product order display in POS

Question

The order in which products are displayed in the pos seems random.
Am I able to choose the order in which items display in pos and in a given category?
Is there a way designate an order?  ie: by price, alphabetically or better yet manually.

Hi,
As Ermin told, by default there is *no* such an option available in odoo for that purpose.  Anyway you can achieve it via customization.

Not sure when added, but you can set the sequence number if odoo 16. Just export all your products and change the value in the order you like. They are all 1 by default and sort by name after that.

By default, the products in POS are ordered alphabetically. Without customization, I do not see a reasonable way to improve it. But with well sorted POS product categories, this should be less of a problem, especially also when you use the search box.
