How do I properly manage the testing data that have been created in odoo server if I need to clear all the test data and populate the database with real production data later on .

When there is a website created from the website editor, clearing the database also clears the website data and i will need to rebuild the website from scratch again.

Also, along with the records created in different modules, there are website design data, configuration settings automated actions, scheduled actions etc.

Also, clearing the created records is not simple as the sales orders and posted entries cannot be simply deleted as records. 

What is the best practice to follow in order to not have a problem later on in the project.

Do I need to use the product and staging branches in odoosh ?? 

Also, is it bad to write automated actions in the odoo settings menu and do I need to do it from the python code instead all the time.
