In the CRM app, reporting on Activities is straightforward. But a sales rep can schedule and log activities on other objects, too; contacts and quotes, for example. How does one create a consolidated Activity report to answer the basic managerial question: what are all the things my sales staff have done this week?
This question is marked as 'Resolved'. It is not.
Activities are only 'Alive' until completed, at which point they become part of the Chatter of the underlying Document.
You can answer the question "What are the Activities still to be completed?" though:
1. Find and Open the mail.activity model in Developer Mode, via the Settings --> Technical --> Database Structure --> Models Menu.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click CREATE MENU.
Worst approximation for the activities since this by default should be able to be assigned in a massive way or minimally there should be a dedicated menu too see it a glance without technical assistance. In most companies this type of follow-up, especially those that have a massive initiative review process and a sales team, the sales administrator must be able to massively assign activities without the help of a technical user.
But well... i think sooner or later it will be a "major feature" in a major release. Nowadays in Odoo V16 CRM module still be a very basic app for sale management
Has anyone ever been able to answer this? I just need a count or list of the calls each person did today!
There is no such report in Odoo. But you can make it with the help of Odoo technical expert/Developer
Thanks, Ray, for the detailed info; it's much appreciated. You absolutely answered the Sales Manager's next question: "what are they planning to do?", albeit only for Opportunities and not all scheduled activities for all objects. Still, very useful and already implemented.
To answer the first question, "what have they done?", how does one aggregate the completed activities across multiple document types?
