Fiscal Year odoo 12 without the Accounting app

Question

unfortunately Odoo 12 has no accounting app

i want to close the fiscal year so my balance sheet and general ledger would give me proper report for each year
also i want to disallow anyone to register payment to any year that has been closed

is there any way to do so without the accounting app

1. The accounting functionality is still available in Odoo 12, please activate "Show full accounting features" in the User preference settings (see discussion here:  https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/is-accounting-feature-removed-from-odoo-12-141355 [1] ).
2. Since the launch of the new accounting paradigm of Odoo with version 9.0, there is no "classic" fiscal year anymore. You may want to study the Odoo accounting documentation about year end procedure: https://www.odoo.com/documentati

odoo 12 has account app search it in apps. I have just installed it.
