Hi everyone,

I'm trying out Odoo for the first time using the docker container (https://hub.docker.com/_/odoo) v. 14.0 in combination with Postgres (https://registry.hub.docker.com/_/postgres/) v. 13.3 on my Synology DS920+. I pretty much used the installation from https://www.ams8.nl/installing-odoo14-on-a-synology-using-docker/ this guide, except for the execution command "/usr/bin/sql.sh start" in step 4 - the container doesn start when I add it as it is shown in the screenshot. But as it is not even mentioned in the guide, I don't think that that's the issue here.

After the installation everything seems to go smoothly. Unfortunatelly I get an error when I try to access the preference page when I click on administrator in the top right corner. After installing the module for members or employees (not sure what it's translated as), the preferences link changes to "my profile" and works fine. I can edit the profile as I wish.

When I go to preferences -> users and try to add a new user, I get the an error again. Two errors at the same time stacked on top of each other, to be precise. (When I click "Ok", theres another one behind it containing the exact same error message.)

The error message is:

Error: Element.matches: 'event)"]' is not a valid selector

I am thankful for any help.

While trying out the different options/possibilities, i managed to add an additional user by using the invite via email function. I received the email after setting up the smpt server, BUT:

After using the confirmation link from the email and setting up a password for the new user it the whole instance of odoo got destroyed. All I get is a blank white page when I try to access. Doesn't matter whether I refresh the tab where I was logged in as an admin or the the private one where I just set the pwd for the new user - everything is blank.

As a sidenote: I actually don't really need a 2nd user (yet). I'm just checking out whether odoo is going to be my ERP for the coming years or not and I am not motivated to chose the software that throws error messages at me on its own basic functions.

Thanks again @everyone!

Upon trying to send a document like an offer or invoice I get the same event error. Only difference is that the last line is replaced by:

Hi guys,

AFAIK is something about cache. If you open the same URL in a private window it probably works.

Cheers,

Pere
