How could we get a dynamic filter like the same period last year in PowerBI on a dashboard? When I import a pivot view with previous year comparison in a worksheet, only the current year column is displayed in the worksheet.

I am a not a pro... But mayabe Hello you could change the month parameter in your woorksheet cells, or add a new column with the EDATE(ref_cell; -12). Example:
=PIVOT.HEADER(1; "invoice_date:month" ; EDATE(B4; -12) )
