When I create an asset from Accounting, does it automatically Post a Journal Entry on Fixed Asset Account in Odoo 18?
Now I have to create a journal entry manually to show the Asset Value in Balance Sheet Under Fixed Asset.

Hi,
Firstly, you need to enable "Automate Asset" in your "Fixed Asset" account type's COA.
Then, you can create vendor bill and "asset" will create automatically.
Then, you can go to assets and modify what you want and then compute and run assets.
Hope this will work for your question.

If I directly create asset in Accounting > Assets
It will not create any journal entry?
I think I got the answer.
I have to link the directly created asset with a journal entry which can be created through a bills or manually.
Odoo doesn’t create a journal entry when you create an asset directly.
