I would like to know if a menu or sub-menu can be deleted if it is not needed.
For example i don't want for certain users, the sub-menu (products) to be shown and selected from POS dashboard screen (situated above : Point of Sale ==> Orders ==> Products). so i would like to remove it from the menu list.
If it is possible, how to do that ?
Please forgive my ignorance because i am still new to odoo.

I'm assuming you are using v9.
The menu you're talking about relates to the model "product.product".
All you have to do is create an access right / security group for that user (or group of users).
