Hello Community,
We have customers, products, and services that are tax-exempt. In the Sales App, I can generate a report showing the Untaxed (Subtotal) and Total, but I cannot find the report for Non-Taxable Sales. I don't think the Accounting App has such a report either. When it comes to tax filing, it's very difficult to determine which amount comes from sales that are taxable and which are non-taxable. Assume we make $100 in sales for the day, and $80 of which are taxable with 10% sales tax. The remaining $20 is tax-exempt. The sales report shows the following:
Untaxed Total: | $80 |
Total: | $100 |
One might think that's $20 in sales tax, but it's incorrect. I'm looking for a report like so:
Taxable Sales: | $80 |
Non-Taxable Sales: | $12 |
Tax: | $8 |
Total: | $100 |
Can someone please help me find where this report is, if there's any? Thank you so much!
Isn't this what Accounting -> Reporting --> Taxes & Fiscal -> Tax Report is for?
Thank you Christoph! You're spot on. I didn't even think to check "Tax Return" in Accounting App. I thought it was the year-end Tax Filing, given the name.
