thanks for the links. Honestly they didn't help really though. I read the explanation but things are not clearing up at all. I see only more terms that I might have heard but don't quite understand in the explanations. ... so it actually adds up confusion more then clarifying.
Journal is a book in which you write operations on a group of related Accounts. In the simplest case of a group you have one Account for the Credit and second Account for Debit. Journal group of operations with similar characteristics (Sales, Purchases, Bank etc.). For example, look at the demo system, menu Invoicing/Journal Items (or Accouting/Journal Items).
