I am using Odoo 18 Enterprise SaaS with a custom plan that includes all the same features as my local installation, but I am unable to view the on-hand quantity and other product details directly on the Point of Sale (POS) product cards.

In my local Odoo 18 Enterprise setup, this information is visible by default on the product cards in the POS interface. However, in the SaaS version, I must click on a product in the order line to open a separate Product Information pop-up to see these details.

I have already reviewed both POS and Inventory configurations, and all settings appear to be correct. Is there a specific setting, module, or known difference between Odoo’s local and SaaS versions that might cause this behavior? How can I make the on-hand quantity visible directly on the main POS screen in the SaaS version?

Hi,

In Odoo 18 Enterprise, there isn't a fundamental difference between SaaS and local installations regarding POS functionality.

Possible Causes:

* POS Interface Version: The SaaS might be using a newer/older version of the POS interface

* Customizations: Your local installation might have undisclosed customizations

The reason you can view on-hand quantities directly on POS product cards in your local Odoo 18 but not in the SaaS version is that your local setup includes a customization that isn’t part of the standard SaaS POS interface. In SaaS, Odoo displays stock information only within the “Product Information” pop-up, primarily for performance and interface consistency. To have this visible on the main POS screen in SaaS, you’d need a custom module or an approved Odoo App Store extension that updates the POS UI to retrieve and show stock quantities in real time, since your local customization isn’t included by default in the SaaS environment.

Hope it helps.
