Is it possible to track material in the inventory per job. Creating a Manufacturing order and deduct material from an specific job instead of just the general inventory?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Contabilidad
- Inventario
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Hi Misael,
We have developed a 3rd Party Module which would help you gather your costs into a Job Basis, these can be multiple levels deep too which is normally pretty handy for manufacturing.
https://odoo.interacct.com.au/job-costing-by-interacct/
You will be able to create unlimited Sub Jobs under Parent Jobs which will allow you to breakdown your Jobs to whatever level of detail you like. Under each job you can record the multiple Estimates which can convert to Budget, and then you can track your actuals against this budget with Costs separated by Materials, Direct Labour, SubContractors, Machines and Sundry Costs.
Let me know if it is what you are after.
thank you!
I can't follow the step where you said link material in the procurement section. I cant seem to know where that section can be found at.
Hi,
Yes, Using Serial Numbers and Lots it is definitely possible to track material in the inventory per job in Odoo
Assign Serial/Lot to Materials: When purchasing or receiving materials, assign unique serial numbers or lot numbers.
Link
Materials to Manufacturing Order: Allocate specific serialized/lotted
materials to the manufacturing order in the "Procurement" section.
Track
Serial/Lot Movement: Track the movement of serialized/lotted materials
through stock moves, linking them back to the specific manufacturing
order they were used for.
Hope it helps
