In leads, opportunities and sales orders, there is a field "tags". This tag object contains a field "Sales Team". Why does this tag has the field "Sales Team" when there is already a field "Sales Team" on leads/opportunities/salesorders itself?

When working on a lead/opportunity, you can only assign tags that belong to the saleteam of the opportunity. This allows to not mix apple and pears if you have sales teams that work on very different topics. If a tag does not have a sales team, it's visible by all sales team.
