I am looking for a way to see sales reporting by customer in total by the parent company instead of broken out by company contacts.

Example:

Customer: ABC Inc.

Contact 1: Jane Doe

Contact 2: John Doe

Sales Order 1: $5,000.00 | Customer: Jane Doe, ABC Inc.

Sales Order 2: $7,500.00 | Customer: John Doe, ABC Inc.

Sales Order 3: $3,000.00 | Customer: ABC Inc.

When I have the data above in my database, anytime I look at sales reporting (either in Reporting within the Sales App or within the Dashbaord App), I see the following reporting data:

Sales History:

ABC Inc: $3,000.00

John Doe, ABC Inc: $7,500.00

Jane Doe, ABC Inc: $5,000.00

I do not mind that it separates it my contact, but I would like the parent company to show the full total of $15,500 for reporting purposes.

The only way I have found to work around this problem is to force all SO's to be sent at the Parent Company level; but that involves another step of ensuring any relevant contacts are added as followers to that quotation/SO. Not a huge deal, but just seeing if I'm missing anything that can easily aggregate the data in total at the parent company level.

Hello,

It is possible to handle the above scenario in Odoo.

First, you need to enable the Customer Address option from Accounting > Configuration > Settings

Create the ABC Inc. as a Company in Sales > Orders > Customers

Add Jane Doe as an Invoice Address in the Contact & Addresses inside the ABC Inc. record.

Now you can create a Quotation or SO as follows:

For the Reporting, select the following Group by options

Can you explain how to add this group to the search bar using studio? I can't figure out how to add that option. I can add filters, but not groups in Studio.
