Hi everyone,

is there anyone experienced with Subcontracting and Resupply Subcontractors workflows in Odoo?

We’re using Odoo 18 (on-premise, self-hosted) and want to set up subcontracting for the production of certain products.

Our process requires us to create subcontracting Purchase Orders several months in advance to ensure timely replenishment of components which we are resupplying our Subcontractor with.

However, we’ve encountered a major issue:

In order for the needed components to appear in the Replenishment Dashboard, we need to confirm (validate) them — POs in Draft status don’t affect demand.

That part is fine, but later we often need to adjust the Expected Delivery Date after the PO has been confirmed. Unfortunately, when we change the delivery date on a validated PO, the corresponding resupply order doesn’t get updated, meaning the Replenishment Dashboard shows incorrect data. As a result, our Supply Chain Manager isn’t notified on time about actual material needs.

Has anyone faced this issue or found a workaround to keep the Replenishment Dashboard in sync after updating PO dates in subcontracting workflows?
