Hi, I'm using 18.4

I created a new repair for a customer. It is not a warranty so I need to charge the customer.

I added the required parts to the repair order. I then created a quote from the repair order which copied the parts across to an SO. The customer accepted the quote so I confirmed the repair and the quote (so the quote is now a confirmed sales order)

Some of the parts are not in stock. 

My problem is that my inventory system is now seeing twice the demand for each part - it has demand from the Repair Order, and demand from the Sales Order. So it's asking me to order twice what I need, and showing the forecasted stock as if twice as many will be leaving.

Have I misunderstood some part of the repair workflow? Do I have to remove the parts from the Repair Order once I've created a Sales Order? If I do that, then the repair shows as ready-to-repair because I'm no longer waiting for (repair) parts, so that can't be right. Do I have to remove them from the sales order? In which case, why did Odoo copy them into there in the first place?

We're new to using the repair module so I assume I have misunderstood a workflow step somewhere.
