Many industries use Weighbridges in their business.
Any one having idea of reading data directly in Odoo from Industrial Weigh Bridges ?
Currently, the Weighbridge's data is shown and instructions to print the weights are handled with a Digital Indication system,
as shown in the below link :

The Weighbridge suppliers are providing their own stand alone software, in which they are communicating with this through Hyperterminal.
Any idea of integrating this with Odoo ?
Is there any place where you can fetch the data from? XML calls, Python, an API to the the terminal,.. ?
Hello Yenthe, The current software devoloped by them reads data through Hyperterminal. I could find an linux alternative to hyperterminal, please see the below link: http://blog.nixveda.com/2011/02/hyperterminal-equivalentalternate-in.html
Hmm.. is there a way that you can fetch the data from this Hyperterminal in real time? If so I guess you could forward it to your Odoo somehow.. What have you tried yet?
