Hi , good morning.


I'm using odoo enterprise saas 17.2 and i have mistake to customer and now this is big problem for me. I'm new for this Odoo and start subscribe on this july.


Our warehouse has complete make all data products like this :

- Inverter ABCD with sales price USD 2000


i make Quotation for customer XYZ like this :

- Inverter ABCD qty 1 with price USD 4000 ( i make this price for our profit )


when customer negotatiate, they info that Qty will change to 5 and they want 3000 / pcs if the qty is 5.


i review the quotation and put qty 5 pcs. after that i save and send email from Odoo. My customer complain to me becuase the price is still 2000 x 5 = 10.000


i back to Quotation in Odoo, and i check that the quotation total is real USD 10.000, i try to revise the price and i say sorry to my customer.


the poin is : when i change the QTY, unit price is back to default SALES PRICE setting in products.


In Odoo, is it really like that? becuase if i forget and i dont see the price this will big mistake for me and others sales team.

Hi,
Such a design is added to recompute the price based on the price-list rules configured, as odoo online, i think, you cannot alter it without having custom codes.

But from v18, odoo is going to stop this behavior, once user manually enter some prices, it will remain as it is when changing the Qty.

Yeah. have the exact same problem. When you change the quantity on any line in a sales order in Odoo, the price reverts back to the original price saved in the product form.

I never figured out how to fix that (if there is a way to fix it) and if it something that cannot be modified is , to be quite honest, a really really really really really really stupid design mistake to make for such an application.

This behavior was changed in Odoo 18, please have a look at the following video (starting from 12:40): https://www.odoo.com/odoo/project/809/tasks/4035579
