We are using Odoo POS (v19) for a wholesale / cash & carry business.
We sell the same product both as:
- single unit
- box (e.g. 1 box = 6 units)
Business requirement:
- Single unit has a retail price
- Box must have a fixed discounted price (not quantity-based calculation)
- Sales are done via barcode scanning in POS (speed is critical)
What we tried:
- Product Packaging (barcode + quantity)
- Units of Measure
- Pricelists (fixed price, discount, min quantity)
Observation:
- Packaging does not allow a fixed sales price
- Pricelist “Per UoM” only shows the product’s main UoM
- We cannot assign a fixed price to the box UoM in standard setup
Question:
Can this requirement be fulfilled in standard Odoo without custom development?
If not, what is the officially recommended best practice?
