Hi All,

I have Odoo 15 community edition and I am very new to Odoo.

I already configured products, BOM and warehouses, workcenters.

I now want to deploy our manufacturing process, but I don't know how to spread it over 2 different locations.

Site 1 has a warehouse an a manufacturing site

The output of the productionsline is a product, that is ready to ship to B2C customers and will be send to them from site 1

But in case of a B2B Order, the (same) product has to be picked/packed/sent by parcel service to Site B, where it is refined to B2B-Products. The workcenter for the refining process is only on site 2.

Can somebody tell me how to do this in Odoo?

Thanks in advance

Let me understand the process:

Site 1:

Makes product A, product A can be sold directly to consumers or sent to Site B where it is used as a component.

Site 2: Makes product B, product B is made from product A

Product B should have a BoM that has product A as a component. Product A should have its own BoM.

You need to define a custom route for product B that does the following:

If there is not enough product A at Site 2, then create a transfer order from site 1

If there is not enough product A at site 1, then create a manufacturing order for product A.

Depending on your knowledge, you may be able to figure this out yourself.

However, it involves specific configurations across multiple areas and needs to be setup according to your other requirements (e.g. Is product A make-to-order or make-to-stock etc..)

Hi Lucas,

thank you for your answer. I didn‘t even get the idea to create a BoM with product A as component :-) I will try this.

But there is one more aspect: Product A is only for B2C and Product B only for B2B. Is there a way to configure customer catagories and prevent that Product B is sold to a B2C customer?
