For me it seems like a bug but I prefer to ask first. When I have a Manufacturing Order it does not tell me from which shelf I need to pick the products to create my new product. It always says only get the items from stock. If I have multiple locations per product I have no clue which one to take.
Is there any configuration I am missing?

Go to Menu Setting => Users => Open user form. Give "Manage multiple stock_locations" access rights to users.
after that go to Manufacturing Order form view below the "Miscellaneous" tab you can see the "Raw materials Location".

Hm Thank you for your answer but it did not work for me. Just an add from my side you need to be in Debug mode to add "Manage multiple stock_locations" to a user. I have then created a new Manufacturing Order but it still says the Raw Materials Location is Stock. Of course I made sure the product is in a shelf and not only on stock.
