we have an issue with the landed costs, as the system is allocating additional expenses to some items, and we don’t know where these charges are coming from. This affects the item costs, making them higher than before. For example, the  landed cost are 30,000 SAR, while in the valuation for the same landed cost it shows 48,000 SAR.

Thank you for your reply.

Let me clarify: in the Landed Cost The share of the item in the valuation adjustments is 232.37 SAR, and this amount is correct when we calculate it manually.

But in the valuation for the same landed cost, the share for the same item is 1,781.51 SAR. We don’t know where this increase is coming from. I followed all of your instructions in your previous reply and didn’t find any issues.

This looks like an issue with how the landed cost is being shared among your products. Here are a few things to check:

    Multiple Valuation Entries

Go to Inventory > Reporting > Inventory Valuation, and search for the product or transfer. You might see more than one cost entry for the same landed cost, which can cause the total to be higher.

    Wrong Allocation Method

Check how the landed cost is being split (by quantity, weight, value, etc.). If it’s not set correctly, Odoo may divide the cost in a way that doesn’t match your expectations.

    Duplicate Transfers or Landed Costs

Make sure the same landed cost hasn’t been linked to multiple deliveries or validated more than once by mistake.

    Manual Adjustments

Check if any manual inventory updates or revaluations were done - these could add extra cost without you noticing.

    Currency Confusion

Sometimes the issue is just currency-related (like SAR vs USD). Make sure you’re checking the correct currency in reports and accounting.

You can also confirm the correct setup and usage of landed costs in the official Odoo 17 documentation here:

Hope it helps
