Journal multi-company issue

Question

Kindly assist: I am only able to access "Settings" in a multi-company setup when company A is selected alone or also selected with another company. when I deselect company A any other combination of companies selected does not allow me to open  "Settings" rather I get the error below. How do I interpret and resolve this error?

The error message says that you cannot access record 8 on account.journal because it is for a company that is not currently selected (e.g. journal is for company A and company A is not selected).
I'd suggest that you look at the Company Profile to check whether somehow an incorrect journal has been selected (e.g. Company B is using a journal from Company A).
Multi-company was changed in Odoo 13 so it is possible that this is a bug but I can't see anything logged in GitHub.
