I would like to upload video(s) from my local storage, manually, on Odoo website but it seems that there is no such option.

When I try to upload any media, I see that I can upload image, document (e.g. pdf file). There is no problem to upload any image or pdf file but on video section, it is written: Video code (URL or Embed) and Accepts Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Youku videos. Why? Why is this not possible? Do you have any solution?

I have checked with runbot.odoo.com you can add any video as a media type of document.

Step 1: Double click on media inside the media List Blocks

Step 2: Goto Document Section > Upload Your Video

Step 3: Choose Video from the document section, which you recently uploaded.

Hope it will help you.

So, when you add it to your documents, copy the link of the video and then remove the extra part.

e.g.
www.yourdomain.com/web/content/111111/?unique=2323c304345b19d696a5cf1cabb05cc9da49a5d90&download=true

final result:
www.yourdomain.com/web/content/111111/

Thank you Naitik! It works well and also it is playable. You just need to remove the code next to basic url or lets say, after question mark (question mark included). So, when you add it to your documents, copy the link of the video and then remove the extra part.

e.g.
www.yourdomain.com/web/content/111111/?unique=2323c304345b19d696a5cf1cabb05cc9da49a5d90&download=true

final result:
www.yourdomain.com/web/content/111111/

Thanks, ratata.. I will update my answer as your suggestion.

Hello Naitik, thank you for your help. How can i obtain my video link after uploading it?

Hi @Adam. So, after you upload the document and see the it's icon on your page, just right click and choose "Copy Link Address"

It is not working in my Odoo 16 enterprise version.
