Odoo Online (saas) doesn't allow installing custom or third-party solutions. So, it is not possible to develop additional features for that platform beyond those assumed by Odoo Studio.
For own servers and Odoo.sh, there is already a solution - https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/19.0/cloud_base
I know, but I am hoping that somebody has an idea. 💡
As faOtools already mentioned, Odoo Online does not allow you to install your own modules or make general adjustments to the source code. Accordingly, the only option may be to switch to Odoo.sh or On-Premise so that these options are available at all. Third-party modules such as the one mentioned above can then provide a remedy.
