On Odoo9e,

The odoo documentation states https://www.odoo.com/documentation/user/9.0/inventory/settings/products/variants.html

"Pricing: The default price of a product is computed using the price of the product template and add the optional extra price on each dimension of the variant. This way, variant prices are easier to maintain since you don't have to set the price for every variant. However, it's possible to create pricelist rules to fix price per variants too."

How is this done? There is no where on the variant page to use a pricelist, the price list only appears on the base item.

Hi

for simplicity you can use this module which is developed by SnepTech

1. Make sure Advanced pricing based on formula is the selected option under Sale Price in Sales --> Configuration --> Settings:

2. Create a Pricelist via Sales --> Configuration --> Pricelists --> Pricelists

(If there is only one price for each variant, use the Public Pricelist)

3. Each time you add a Pricelist Item to a Pricelist, you will see the option to include the variant:

For more information about how Pricelists work, and where you can choose them (on the Sales Order), see: http://www.odoo.com/documentation/user/9.0/sales/products_prices/prices/B2B_B2C.html

However this does'nt work for Public categories nor POS categories; a pricelist is a tool for trade not for accounting (category).

This seems to mess up how we have our pricelists set up currently (with customer groups)
